
Nico Hansford is a white transmasculine artist and filmmaker. He grew up in Los Angeles county before moving to Baltimore to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art. At MICA he received a BFA in Film & Video and Humanistic Studies. In addition to his studies he appeared in exhibitions such as Identity (2018) and We Are Everywhere (2020).
After graduation Nico utilized his love of video editing. He volunteered his skills for Franca for the People, Franca Muller Paz’s city councilperson campaign in 2020. Since then he has worked on personal and freelance projects. Including Centro SOL's Fortalece Tu Bienestar, which dealt with themes of mental health stigma in the Latine community. In his spare time he further explores art through the lens of painting, embroidery, and writing.
